Lawl, I don't really know. I used to use "XD", but since I started to talk to JSO outside of Scratch a lot, it changed from

to

Maybe it's because they are too lazy to press Shift. 'x' looks like 'X', but 'd' doesn't look like 'D'. That's why they still use a capital D.

Well, I usually like "XD" more too, because it's cleaner. But sometimes I used the "xD" for teh lulz.

Aidan, your information is incorrect. If you posted 'XD' by itself, it would make the d lowercase ('Xd') because of the thing that stops you from posting in all capitals.

Well I guess some people found out the D is lowercased the hard way and they made a habit of always using lowercase X.

The D in my xD is greater than the D of Aidan's XD metaphorically
And besides, how can you be lazy if you leave one small and leave the other big? It's lazier to just hit capslock and do them both big, or do them both lowercase.
