Could you animate
This charatcher??? so it works in scratch?? Just a frame by frame thing of him running.
You will be credited in my final game.
The picture is on Flickr so if you cant go there then dont bother

The legs look like a sea creature or caterpillar...I'm afraid it might not be good enough...
I hope it is! Well even if it doesn't, I know I can draw good caterpillars!
