I'm trying to upload a video to my blog, but it won't let me.
The file extension is VOB, which Blogger doesn't support. But even when I changed it to a file extension, that Blogger did support (AVI), and it still didn't work.
Do you have any reasons why this might not have worked? Do you have a way to make it work? Do you have another video uploading site that will work? Please help, as I really want to share the video with you guys.
Thanks,
sanddude.

Post it to YouTube, then link it to your blog.

Then...Um...Well, try running it threw Windows Movie Maker and covert it to a WMM file. See if that works.

Please no software. Sorry, my requirements are pretty strict. But thanks, anyway.

Use an online file type converter.

It should still come with it.
It's a Windows computer. Just search for it.

So you just typed .avi at the end of the file? That doesn't change the file type unless the program you're using can use them.

Did you manually change it (i.e. edit the file's name and add ".avi" to the end)? If so, that does nothing- the file is still the a .vob file. If you change the name of "cookies" to "almonds", does that make a cookie an almond?

My computer settings are set so file extensions are shown. This means that if I type ".avi" at the end of the file name, the file extension changes. But often, by changing file extensions, you make the file unusable. I tried playing it as an AVI on Windows Media Player, and it worked, but in other programs things went bad.

Look up a tutorial on YouTube, then. Or if your not allowed on YouTube, go on some blogger forum or something. These forums aren't really the best place to seek information.

It stopped coming with it after Windows 7. Now, it's part of Windows Live, which you have to download and install.

He's right. I have Windows 7 and it didn't come with Windows Movie Maker. I had to download it off of Microsoft.com.

Ah. Well, what's so hard about downloading a bit of software straight from Microsoft?
