Self-explanatory tutorials suitable for a 10 year old girl?

Looking for something that will guide her through learning the basics and so on, but it would need to be *very* basic and explained in basic terms.

This would make her (and my) days  smile

Hey there! There are lots of guides to help you learn Scratch, from the very basics to advanced techniques. This topic has links to a lot of great guides to get you started. Also the Scratch Wiki has tons of articles on just about everything Scratch related, including articles about all the blocks. In addition, try searching for Scratch tutorial projects-there are lots of them out there. And don't forget, you can always ask for help on All About Scratch if you get stuck.

I recommend to have her experiment- thats the best way. Other people can explain certain things, but the best way for her understand the syntax is to experiment with the code. Just like i did with Visual Basic.  tongue

And Like Harakou said, if she gets stuck, ask a question in the All about Scratch forum! Its basically a Q and A forum.  big_smile

+1 It may seem silly, but getting stuck into it is the best way to learn.  smile
