Chapter 1: The speech
Let's examine this speech, shall we?
First you mention how often your projects were flagged. I guess that's normal, although I've never heard of it. Benefit of the doubt.
Next you state how you already are a mod? Sorry, did I miss something?
Anyway, ignoring that, you have some noob guides? Noob is an offensive term for newbies, so why would you use that? Oh, right, catchy title. However, innacurate title
Noobs are not newbies. I see you're familiar with the banning process also, I'm not surprised![]()
What does being a moderator have to do with fear? It's respect, and it demands it, no one fears moderators
Anyway, you've mentioned that you would help us, you don't mention how. What would you do?
But still, I liked that part better than the generic repetitive speeches
Let's move on
Chapter 2: Past behaviour inside and outside of Scratch
You constantly mention that you try to strangle your sister. I do not want you as a moderator
A few weeks ago, I witnessed a topic in the dustbin by a certain individual with an underscore behind his name, and it had profanity in it, and the topic title was directed at you, helltank
I also saw 'Last replied to by helltank" which meant you saw the topic
Recently, on the public forums, you yourself admitted to being that person. I'm not even sure why you're still around, since you openly swore on the forum, and for what? What was the reason for that anyway?
Seriously, help me out here. I can't see any reason at all behind it.
You can't take it back
Now, let's move on again
Chapter 3: Behaviour towards voters
Yo, that means me. I wouldn't particularly like being 'roasted' not that you can do that to me
It's still not good political behaviour to make threats towards voters
If you were trying to get good rep, you wouldn't make remarks like that anyway
It's like a presidential candidate says on the radio "If I wasn't running for president, I would be torching buildings and robbing banks"
That's like saying you don't want any votes at all
Chapter 4: Voting for you
I won't, for above reasons
If anyone else wants a book, I can write one for you
I wouldn't mind having a "book". Would you mind making one for/about me?

Well, this is getting pretty ugly, now, isn't it? (and the Scratch Team hasn't even yet announced anything official!)
Understandably, the title of moderatorship is a big one, and, with like any elections, the voters worry about who gets it. I suppose being a bit wary about the speeches and actions of the candidates is normal, but let's not turn this into one big flaming mud fest now, okay?

And if one of the people running is in the fight, it could lower his/her future votes.

Well, don't forget the Scratch Team and moderators chooses the final list of candidates before voting; It's hard not to believe that pre-election behavior plays a role in the candidate decision making.
Currently, there is no official word yet about the next election; but let's remember that, regardless of the times, we should still be respectful towards each other (respect is timeless, you know ;D)

Well, I guess you're never really "too early" with this, huh? It's good to have your speech already written, and to be prepared for being a candidate

Shouldn't the Scratch Team have decided when the election will be by now?
I remember sometime last week, one of the mods posted that the Scratch Team would decide "next week", so they should be deciding right now, right?

Patience, Luc, patience.
Anyway, it seems as though some Scratchers have brought up some points- Age limits, for example, that the Scratch Team has to decide on. It might take some time.

"Next week" contains a lot of time. It could be today, tomorrow, Thursday, or even longer.

It'll take some time... Patience, my dear friend! Besides, in the first post of this very thread, Paddle2See wrote this:
* No, I don't know exactly when the elections will be held. A determination will not be made before next week.
I'm aware that today is next week, but I think the moderator was roughly estimating the time it might take
