Seeing Jean on that topic made me think the exact opposite.
So no.

Maybe I should be more active. I'll try.

My idea of a good mod would be someone who helps people on Scratch without feeling inclined to.
I'm not sure how exactly to respond to that, but;
1: I do feel inclined to keep Scratch a welcome, kind site.
2: I think that someone should feel inclined to help; this is a great site and should remain one

That particular topic is not something I would wish to be judged by. What I said may have confused others, and made them think I disrespected their opinion, when really I was just trying to give Shugo a break. As J0j2 said, that question was not a very good idea, as others could state their opinion with no harm intended, the thread owner may take it the wrong way.

Not voting-you, somelia, and DaGamez are like my best friends on the TBG.
So I can't choose-Lucario's running too. I'll see who gets in.

I still haven't decided yet, either

Well yeah it was a bad question to start with but as a hypothetical mod you have to realize that op-created-problems shouldn't be blamed on the people that post.

I don't understand; when you say 'the people that post', are you referring to the topic creator, or the people who post the option that could be taken the wrong way?

Well sorry, I forgot an "n't" so that might confuse you, but "the people that post" should be clear enough since I'm separating them from the op.
>:C iE, but it looks like we've got a 4 defense for a case 3 defense for a case 7.

In this case, I understand what you're saying. I in no way had any intentions of insulting the opinions of the users who posted on the topic.
Now, can you please explain your transparent text?

What was posted was not insulting, it answered the question posed by the op, and in some cases explained the answer. Users should not be chastised for being on topic, even if it conflicts with what the op has to say. Are you saying that debate should be removed from the Scratch Forums? Well then you won't be getting my vote, no-siree.

That's not what I'm saying at all; debate is a part of the Scratch Community, but flaming isn't. What I would hate to see is good debates and starting questions turned to rubble by flames.
Besides, which of my posts are you talking about? I thought we were discussing the Shugo for Mod post, not removing debate from the Scratch forums.

Flaming? She asked if she should run for moderator, people said No.

Ugh. This has gotten very out of control.
Let me try to explain.
As a reply to boinoinoi's question about debate being removed from the Scratch Forums, I wrote my idea of debate. Because I had no idea how debate had any relevance to Shugo's post, I thought that he was talking about something completely different.
Shugo's topic was a simple yes or no question. When everyone kept saying no, I had the idea that users were saying no for no good reason. That led me to say to stop posting no. I was not arguing with the post of the users themselves, whereas I was a little mad about how people were just posting no after no. That in turn led me to say that if you don't have anything good to say, don't say it. I think that people should include a reason why they said no. This could clear up some of the misunderstanding, and give the owner of the thread more feedback, which was what they wanted in the first place.

Sorry, but you can't run anyway, unless they change that 'you need to be active on the forums for 6 months' thing

I'm not sure if the problem is solved just yet
Because from what I remember last year, it was 6 months in the forum as well, not just on the whole site
A person can be on it for years like Telemachus, but only find out about it much later
