Re: We're doing Scratch at school!

Cool. I haven't used Scratch in school since third grade (Excluding a report I made with Scratch, in fourth grade), and even then we were all just making the same, simple, game that the teacher walked us through.
However, I did notice that my middle school has Scratch downloaded on all of their computers. It's an earlier version, I assume, because the icon on the shortcut has a creepy-ish cat on it, as opposed to the current icon which is the Scratch Cat  tongue

Re: We're doing Scratch at school!

One teacher saw me programming a game, and after I was done in the lab, he stole it with a flash drive. I had no idea my game had become a demo for a school of 2000 kids until a few weeks ago  yikes

Oh, I forgot about the Scratch Club that I taught last year (Actually, I intended to be a member, but most of the other kids had no idea how to use it, so I ended up teaching them).. But that was more of an after school thing, so I guess it doesn't count  tongue

Re: We're doing Scratch at school!

We do Scratch in ICT class every summer at my school :3 I must admit, I took to it straight away, and I've loved it ever since  big_smile  Quite frequently, my friends and I talk solely about Scratch at break (this morning, while we were lining up for music class, my friend came out with "Emily! I saw your chatbot yesterday... it's amazing!")

We are a school of Scratch obsessed people... even though our display board showing screenshots of projects made by students at my school is titled "SRATCH", not "SCRATCH"  lol

Also, I taught a Scratch class in the summer term at school... I got to use Scratch on an interactive whiteboard, which was awesome... even though I was too short to click the green flag without jumping  tongue

Re: We're doing Scratch at school!

Hey, I practically taught my class how to use Scratch in school (it was a class, the teachers were... incompetent, and I sorta took over).  But that was last year, I'm in a new school this year.

I'm back, and showcasing two new* projects!  Click left or right on the image below to see!
