Ah yes, Stencyl. I'm a beta tester right now.
So it's in flash (like Scratch 2.0), and does have some similar elements to it. For example, there is a block making process for part of the game-making process, and there are different costumes and stuff (but you can translate them into animations), and there's tile-based features.
But I shouldn't give away too much, as I'm probably not allowed to

Ah, yes, Stencyl. It was developed by Jon914, who decided to incorporate some of Scratch's ideas in game creation (which is why it looks so similar to Scratch). You can read more about Jon914's views on Stencyl in this forum topic here.

I'm pretty quick with recent signups (usually within days if I like what I see). If I miss you, see if you can get in touch with someone who you know's in the private beta, and that'll usually catch my attention.
Only the design of the game's logic is like Scratch - the rest of the toolset is not, and depending on where you are in your mastery of Scratch, you may find it to be a perfect stepping stone if you've hit the limits of Scratch, or it may be too big a leap to take at this time.

I was never accepted for the beta

I got into the beta... it's a really cool application!
The thing (and only thing) i dislike is the lack of an easy movement block.
Oh,and is there a paint editor?
