Everybody?
So, to be famous, everyone must know who you are. Everyone. Therefore, fame is all in your head.
(Oh, rufflebee, you make no sense at all.)Not everybody...
Fame is not all in your head. If you are fam... You know what? Never mind.
You're not going to finish proving your point?
Is that something a moderator would do? Hmm.

Like rufflebee said, some 9 year olds can be more mature and well spoken than many 11 year olds I know. Being 14 I consider myself the right age for the job, and I take things seriously, but can joke around when needed

As he didn't finish it than here we are:
A famous person is someone who is a well known person who a lot of people know. An example of a famous person in scratch would be illusionist. He is known by almost the whole scratch community. He is respected and is a mod. I am not famous as i am not known by a lot of people... But i am still running to be a mod.

Wise choice taking back something not well thought out.

Despite my professed inability to moderate (on this thread), I may be able to reapply. It depends on what kind of time moderators are supposed to put into their role.
So, any current community moderators, I would only be able to go on 6:30 - 7:30 (every day), 20:30 - 23:30 (weekdays), and most of the day on the weekends.
Are these acceptable times as a moderator? If so I'll probably reapply. So once the elections start I may whip up a speech and "campaign". If not, I wouldn't be surprised and I'll sit this out until after fall term.
My goodness, there's no such thing as a strict time schedule for mods! We go when we can, and, as always, you're not forced to mod should personal important issues come in the way.
Ah, if you are reapplying for moderatorship, you have my full support. I've seen how you have responded in tough situations, your actions and choice of words are very well thought out. During the first election, I thought you would have made a great mod, my opinion of you has not changed since then.

I went ahead and video taped my speech, if anyone wants to listen to it.
Here it is in text form:
I'm Sunrise-Moon, and I’ve been around the forums for a while, and I’ve decided that I want to become a moderator. Now don’t get me wrong- I don't simply want to become a moderator for a spiffy title, but rather because I want to help keep Scratch safe. I realize that modship is a large responsibility, but I believe I’m ready to accept that responsibility.
The Scratch forums are the 4th or 5th forums that I’ve joined. After going through so many forums, I’ve learned most of the tools of the mod, and how/when to use them. If elected a moderator, I promise to help whence possible, moderate to the best of my ability, and just generally be Sunrise.
Vote for Sunrise-Moon

Hi, I'm Maail. I'm sure lot's of you don't really know me but I have been on Scratch since last year but installed it on my computer in 2008. When I started I was just a nobody, and just tried to make people laugh or like me, but it did not work out too well. Most of my projects are based off Sonic or Pokemon but I deleted all of them after I realized that they are not that good.
I have been wanting to be a Moderator since February and have stick to it since then. I want to help other Scratchers learn, express and share things, so I thought I should go help the community by becoming a Moderator.
I help people in a lot of situations or a least try to, as all my real-life friends keep on telling me how I understand peoples feelings. I may make random post from time to time but only if I think it is something I should share with others!
I won't be strict, nor will I let you go without a warning. I want to be a part of a continuously growing community, and I would never act like those people who thinks they are high up and most importantly I want to stop spam and trolling!

its a HUGE responsibility to be a mod! I have modded in PLENTY of sites! Some people just want power over scratchers! Being a mod is just more or less like babysitting. Alot of complaints there. Sometimes the possibility of being a mod is too much for a person to bear. If I saw an inexperienced scratcher or a repeat offender a mod I would probably scoff. No offense. But scratch needs to have a sense of stability. MIT wants scratchers to unite. It isn't all about power. In the eye of the wise someone must see that scratchers must have someone to govern that has experience, sensibility, and wise judgement.
That is how I think of modding

Oh! I am running.
Is it too early to post speeches? I was informed that it was ok to post at the moment, so I posted mine

Hey guys. Jean here
Although I may not have been very active on the main forums recently, I would most certainly become more active if I were to be elected. I really see moderators as good, nice people that can help keep Scratch clean. I will be a little strict with words and phrases that may not be suitable for this website and it's members. I will do my best to keep a balance moderating every section. I love to give support to others, and I really dislike it when people post on topics just to hurt the feelings of others. Though I don't hope I will ever have to do so, I would not be afraid to punish any Scratchers who violate the Terms of Use. I will always remember to keep a good sense of humor; I think that this is an important part in being a mod. I really would enjoy being a moderator for the Scratch Website.
Please consider this, and Scratch On!

This seems like a good time to re-post my speech about why I am not running, too,
To be honest, I don't think I should run. If I did, then mainly the only people that would vote for me are the ones who biasedly vote for Scratchers whom they like, which, in my opinion, is worse than bribing someone to vote for you. I can be a good contributor to certain discussions, but that does not mean I should be a moderator. I am never sure of myself, can be rude, and, in the past, has contributed to inappropriate conversations. And, I am only eleven. I scarely can trust myself with the responsibilities of a moderator's job. I would not be a good moderator. I HAVE considered running, but those thoughts didn't last long, as I realized I would have to change A LOT to be a good moderator, and a good mod to me is someone who is naturally good at their job. If I were mod, I would have to remember to post in sections other than Misc regularly. I DO help out in New Scratchers, and occasionly AAS and Suggestions, but not nearly as much as I post in Miscellaneous. As I have said before, a good moderator would help people without feeling inclined to. Oh, and according to some people, I'm a "spammer."
So, eventually, if I decide I would be a good moderator, I may run. But, that probably won't be for years, most likely. If I'm still around here then, that is.
So, yeah, don't vote for rufflebee, because she isn't running XD
