I think mass topic deletion/merging should be seriously considered.

There are currently 44 mod election-related topics in the first six pages of the Misc forums (and almost zero after that).

This is a real problem since it's nearly impossible to talk about anything else now.

Could mods please consider merging all of these into one topic or something?  hmm

I definitely agree. Any thread that isn't about the election is quickly buried by people bumping their speeches and such.

I really agree. But we should probably wait until andresmh or someone posts a topic that is official. Plus, I need to save my speech  tongue

Yeah.

If only Paddle would change the first word of his title to "Official"  hmm

That really wouldn't change much at all, though.

I have an idea
How about you all go to the TBG and have a pretend community mod election with these speeches?

Re: I think mass topic deletion/merging should be seriously considered.

Great, and I added to this list of mod topics today.

If it is necessary, I will delete my speech. I have a word file on my computer, anyway.

The TBG or this topic?

The former: I didn't want to advertise a TBG on the main forums for no reason.

The latter: I thought someone else would do it first. Since I'm not the smartest kid here, you know. Not even close.

Re: I think mass topic deletion/merging should be seriously considered.

I disagree. I think it's perfectly OK to have a thread for each speech, so there can be a separate place to discuss each candidate.

Also, this is actually a good subject to discuss (mod elections) as it requires actual thinking, compared to "twitter topics" as some users call them.

Disagree. After a week, those will be buried in page 100 or so. So.. xD

I agree with Lucario as the main topic of discussion with all of these mod speeches is the betterment of scratch, which is somthing that should be encouraged, not made to go away.

Despite the supposed productive-ness of all of those threads, I still find them annoying.

There's no reason for deletion...

Closing is better, because it allows the thread to be like a piece of evidence for certain events  smile .
