I went ahead and video taped my speech, if anyone wants to listen to it.

Here it is in text form:
I'm Sunrise-Moon, and I’ve been around the forums for a while, and I’ve decided that I want to become a moderator. Now don’t get me wrong- I don't simply want to become a moderator for a spiffy title, but rather because I want to help keep Scratch safe. I realize that modship is a large responsibility, but I believe I’m ready to accept that responsibility.

The Scratch forums are the 4th or 5th forums that I’ve joined. After going through so many forums, I’ve learned most of the tools of the mod, and how/when to use them. If elected a moderator, I promise to help whence possible, moderate to the best of my ability, and just generally be Sunrise.

Do I need to have been on the forums for 6 months, or been on Scratch for 6 months? In a way, you could say I've been on the forums for over 6 months- note my first post was in 2009. My second post was just a few months ago, though.
