It depends. deviantART is a fairly good place to post art (and getting feedback), as well as keeping track of your favorite online artists; at the same time, it has been rather notorious for some trollish behavior and some divisions between different artists of different styles and mediums.

Do whatever you want. I say go for it. If you decide not to, you can always abandon your account.

my mom says im not old enough. i accepted. however, why do people think they are older by swearing a lot?
Think of it as being older is not a part of swearing, but swearing is a part of being older.
... I just read that back to myself and thought "what?".

I've always thought age is not to be considered by the ability to swear, but rather through maturity of character.

Grown-ups are allowed to swear though.

Uh, you start off with the filter being off. And aren't you too young to go on deviant art anyways? You would have had to break the signup agreement and turned off the filter yourself to have done that

Guests automatically have the filter off too, get your facts straight
Anyway, a cross dressing sonic wouldn't set it off

Ignoring the spam robocob thing, what exactly is wrong with the internet that you got out of my post?

I love deviantart. Just know to turn on the mature filter and people swear a ton.
Then, people can post whatever they want in their comments and it might give you viruses.
But it's really a cool website, I'd say join.

hello. i, macnoob, might be gatting a deviantart account. i am in my teen years, so is it really that good of an idea? is it not?
First of all, please use relatively correct spelling or grammar, lol.
Deviantart is a very grown up community, meaning it's not for little kids. There's a lot of swearing and inappropriate things for young viewers. But only join if you think you want to share your work. Not as a social networking place.

No, it just incorporates into your speech more and more as you get older. It happened to me and I'm still not entirely grown up. Adults don't swear because they think it sounds good, it just...happens.

And don't expect anyone on there to not swear and post inappropriate things, because that happens on dA.
Even with the filter on, you can hear some pretty bad stuff and see bloody stuff, some gore, swearing, and stuff ^^ Nothing I can't handle though. Except that one photo where-

The internet is pretty messed up. Think about it: If you click on the following link, the grim reaper appears and says a cuddly bunny stole your soul. What gives?!
I'm not kidding. He will steal your soul.
