Tutorial Critique Group

Welcome to the Tutorial Critique Group. What is this, you ask? Well, here is where you can post tutorials for less advanced Scratchers and get some friendly feedback on your projects. If you want to join, just ask! But there are rules:

1.) You can only post projects that are tutorials, guides, or help for other Scratchers. Any non-helpful projects will be removed.

2.) Try to keep it at a minimum of 3. Not too many projects!

3.) If you repeatedly break these rules, you may be banned from the gallery.

Here's the Link: Tutorials Critique Group

Below is a list of the current members. I will update it every one or two days.
If you ask to join, or put in a project, you are automatically put on the list below:

Re: Tutorial Critique Group

Great idea...tutorials are pretty helpful when done well, but it can be difficult to make a good tutorial sometimes.  It is a nice idea to get a discussion going about creating tutorials, I'd be glad to join and offer critique on others projects, even if I don't submit many myself.

Kudos for taking the initiative to set this up!

Re: Tutorial Critique Group

I agree that this groups has a ton of potential.  For starters, I'd love to discuss the difference between tutorials and examples (especially since there is no way to actually comment on the code in Scratch).  I'm also interested in making tutorials that are more interactive.  In other words they have little quizzes to make sure the person watching it got the idea.  I'm also very interested in discussing the best way to sequence tutorials so that new members can feel successful quickly.

Not really. search for SAVE_THE_COMM
ENT_BOX download, save a sprite with that block, then add that sprite onto your project, copy the block and put it on your sprite(s)on your projects. (yes, i know it takes effort  big_smile  )

Thanks.  I didn't know about that one. I'll check it out.

The comment style for 1.3 looks pretty nice.

I said you can add some from tutorial_maker. I just don't like using that account to go on Scratch. If I don't use that account I don't make tutorials. You know where it is  wink

Re: Tutorial Critique Group

Bluestribute, I used three projects from your Tutorial_Maker account. I used the Scrolling Velocity, Custom Sayings, and Shooting projects. I found them VERY helpful to other Scratchers! Good job!
