The Non-Forgettable Journey

Okami.

I finished it about a week ago, and it's really hands down amazing. The artwork, the music, the characters.....all rememberable. Even the smallest things made me think- and here, I want to share some of this experience. I'll be labeling my favorite Bosses, places, soundtracks, weapons, and more.

Spoilers ahead

Music

I really love the orchestrated music in this game. All of it has a very Japanese feel that fits in perfectly with the situation. Here's some of the personal favorites;

"Theme of Rao-" Not exactly child-appropriate(if you played, you know what I'm talking about), but I love the song because it's so catchy!

"Ryoshima Coast-" The background music for Ryoshima Coast. The instruments all come together in this joyus piece, and I never get tired of listening to it over and over again. It gives off the feel of freedom and adventure.

"Issun's Theme-" May I say more? This bouncy song is so incredibly catchy you won't be able be able to get it out of your head for days.

"Kamiki Festival-" After defeating Orochi and going to the festival, you're not gonna wanna leave even more when listening to this.

"Kushi's Ride-" I just really like this song, and it gives you strength to defeat Orochi once and for all......right?

"The Sun Rises-" I almost cry when I hear this song. Not only is it played in the final fight before the game ends, it's truly beautiful and this game wouldn't be the same without it.

"Reset(Thank You-"Probably my favorite song in the whole game. It's so inspiring it makes my insides swell with pride of Issun.

Bosses and Characters

Orochi-This is the main baddie in the whole game, and nothing less than epic. 8 heads+ Demon dragon= epicness

Rao- The way she attracts Issun and her pure awesomeness is just great. Plus, when you find out what happened to her.....

Mr.Bamboo- Pretty cute guy for being and oldie.

Oki- When Oki turns into a wolf, I seriously loved this dude.

Issun- Sure, he's annoying alot, and makes puzzles obvious, but the best parts of the game were with him, and my heart bled when he left.

Shiranui- You play as him reborn. I love his design and courage to fight till death.

Waka- All kinds of awesome.

Weapons

Solar flare- It's just so darn cool looking!

Devout Beads- I got through about half of this game just using that nonstop. For the...2nd..? weapon you get, it's sweet.

Resurrection Beads- What I use now. Gives intense combos and some nice damage.

7 Strike- I love how the blade moves like lava.

Eight Wonder- BIGGEST FREAKING GLAIVE EVER.

Cutscenes

Meeting Yami

What Happened to Rao

The Best Scene ever Created-The Strength of Purity

Orochi's Return

So there you are, a little bit of Sun God goodness!  big_smile  Might add more later.

I played this a week or longer through gamefly so I didn't get that far so fair warning about my knowledge of the game,

Hydra? (And don't get started with the seven thing, one was assumed to be chopped off here.)

Do you need one of us mods to change the title to "Unforgettable", or are you rather still okay with the title as it is right now?  smile

Not to mention rememberable isn't a real word. The proper word is memorable

My god. I care so much.

There's something called "mistakes" in this world. Then again, you've never made them, so how would you know?  big_smile

He has too made mistakes! He left complete evidence of being a boy and then said he was a chick.

What? No I didn't. I would never say I'm a girl o.O
