I guess you would also call cats dogs
It is politics, but I guess they make a special exception to the rule when they hold an election

I might run. I'm waiting for people to vote on whether or not they want me to. See link in sig for details.

I'm running, too. I'll put my speech from my thread here (you can close it) on this topic like DaGames I guess:
Hello, for those of you who know who I am or not, I am a rather active member, and would enjoy being a moderator. I am supportive and friendly (most of the time) and am usually willing to give advice here or there. I'm not sure if anyone will take notice of me in the standings, but if you do, I will be quite grateful.
So at least spend a microsecond or more thinking about voting for me, please.
To those of you who read this to the end, I salute you.

Are you running again Wolfie? I really hope you are
You were my favorite candidate last election and I hope to see you as a mod again!

I was thinking of running... but that would mean giving up the TBG, and im the only mod who comes on in the daytime (scratch time)

No, why would she run again? She's already a mod

Ah . . . I (for some reason) thought mods had to be reelected. This would explain a great deal.
Thanks Lucario621.

I think the whole story is that either the mods and Scratch team agree that the mod should stay a mod, and they won't have to be re-elected. Others may just say they're done as mod, and they won't be re-elected because they won't run.

Yeah
It's cool.
They MIGHT have to be re-elected, but it's pretty low odds.

Well we don't want like 50 moderators so obviously some will be kicked out. Maybe not this time but next election for certain.

Where did you get that idea? There may not even be an election this term if the current mods and Scratch Team think we're doing great. Theoretically there may never be another election - but that's unlikely because we'll get tired of this after a while

Aw - thanks!
You were one of my favourite candidates, too... I really hoped you'd win last time
As for running again, I'm not sure yet - I've started taking GCSE Triple Sciences a year early (on top of GCSE French and Astronomy, which I've been taking for a year already), and I'm quite literally buried in homework... And I'm trying out for a play soon... I guess I'll just have to see how much free time I have before I decide whether I'll be able to moderate much. I don't think my exams are until Early 2011-Early 2012, so I might rerun/continue for at least the next term ^^

Wait, did you join the site and forums at the same time? If so, you have to have been on Scratch for at least 6 months to run. Sorry if I'm being a dream-crusher here, but we just need to make sure.

From the way the ITopics started coming around. It would be unfair to all the other scratchers though if they don't get a chance to run, because some of them might've dropped out of trying to enter the first time because they figured they would do it again later and some came around after who would do a good job too. I don't know what the team has told you, but it is not in the ears or interest of the public that the moderator elections won't be held.
