Many people on Scratch are animators, like me. But when doing art, it is very difficult to the point that you want to give up on Scratch. I believe that the Color Eraser, Curve Tool, the ability to create multiple text boxes, and a Color Saver like on Paint are a good solution to this issue.
The Color Eraser allows you to erase a single color when you drag it across your picture. This is very helpful with sketches, which most artists use.
The Curve Tool is like the Line Tool, but you can bend it to make nice, neat curves. Using only the pen tool in scratch, it is difficult to get clean work which is frustrating.
When I want to have different fonts/sizes for different titles on a single sprite, it is a pain to have to create two separate ones, save them, and then open the sprite, so I can upload them both. With the ability to create multiple different text boxes, people will have more variety in their writing.
It is also annoying to have to save a Color Pallet every time I make and animation so I can have the same color for every sprite/costume when I'm not using a color that is on the given Pallet. It is more of a pain when I am making a background, where there is no place to put a color Pallet. I believe there should be 20 spots to save colors below the given Pallet called a Color Saver. Every time someone chooses a color, a save button appears to allow them to keep the color there for later use on a completely different sprite/costume. The squares should also be able to be switched around for different orders so highlighting, shading, and base color can be kept together. When choosing a color saved on the Pallet, a delete button should appear so someone can delete it for space another time.
Please, consider my ideas for I know many people have left scratch because of how difficult it is to use. I personally use Paint and upload them on scratch as a PNG file. But, if you just had these features on scratch, more people definitely would sign up and make it bigger and more popular. Thank You and I hope you consider my ideas.

I support this idea! I especially like the multiple text boxes idea.

These sound like great ideas to add to the Scratch editor that would make spriting a lot easier on Scratch. In the meantime, why not use an external editor like Paint.NET?

I am with Harakou on this one - these are all really excellent ideas! It should be noted however that the point of Scratch is not to have a really great image editor - so why not just use an external one like Paint.NET?

I use GIMP for that, and I'm fine with it... ^^ But then again, importing images and such can be a bit of a hassle.

Great ideas! I definitely support them. Having custom color palettes, at least maybe 8 spaces for yourself would be really great! As well as multiple text boxes, as multiple users have suggested.

I completely support this.
