how do you get put in the election? do people nominate you?
You ask to be a candidate and if the Scratch team deems you fit for the role they'll put you intothe election. Unfortunately, you must have been active on the forums for at least 5 months, I think.

So you want to run? I remember that you didn't last time. Good luck!

I want to run! Where is the thread for it?
It should still be a couple weeks until that pops up, so we're just prepping for it here.

Very soon, actually - I'm pretty excited to see who will become moderator after this. I'm fairly certain I won't be de-modded

I just need to get on more. xD

Yeah all of the mods so far have been pretty great. Some have been more active than others *winks at coolstuff* (xD) but they've all been very great.

Yeah, for the most part they've done a good job.
I think personally that one of my selling points is that even with school stuff, I'm still usually able to make time for Scratch to come on here and help out.

Being here a lot is pretty important. Back when school was starting, there were a lot of people saying they won't be on here much because of school and stuff, so that may have taken people out of the mod race already because of school and lack of free time to be available to mod.

I will definitely be lacking in terms of free time - but I'll always be on a few times a day.

We really weren't at first. It just takes some time to get used to moderating- keep that in mind if you get elected.

Actually, I've been quite a bit less active lately.

I'd really like to run for mod, but I've got loads (and loads and loads) of homework so I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to commit very much of my time if I was elected. In fact, I should be working on Spanish right now... ¡Adios!

Aw... you'd be a good moderator...

Ooo, dang. I'm running against Lucario621 and fg123...no chance
I suppose it's good I'm not running. I tried reading through the recent posts, and I got bored... ^^
I guess I'll have to try harder. A question though... (please answer): Which would you say is more important, having the dedication to be there or the dedication to read it?

What exactly is "it"?

Eh, that isn't that much of a selling point to me. Just be on about 1 hr a day average at least is good enough to be a good mod (though the more the better). More importantly is being a good role model and understanding how to treat the community kindly .
