Okay, I had this real epic Idea for an MMOG. It goes like this:
It's a shooter game (first person, possibly), where you have to see how many kills you can get. Here's how it works:
Cross refrences are italic
Hosting
One person hosts. If people can connect to them, (with LAN or hamachi) they can join the game. There are a max of 10 people per game. Once everybody is in, you vote on a place (it gets chosen using a system like mario kart). Then gameplay starts.
Gameplay
You get in at one of the spawn places. Basically, you go around trying to shoot people, drain their health, then steal their money. Depending on what mode, you're in, you will need to use different tactics.
Modes
There are different modes for gameplay. They are:
Team battle
Solo battle
In team battle, you work as a team to accomplish the goal. In solo mode, you work by yourself.
Goals
There are different goals you have to accomplish to win. This is voted on. Here are the different goals:
Score (get as many kills as you can)
Knockout (solo only) (Be the last one alive)
Cature the flag (team only) (Capture the flag!)
Money
Money can be used to buy items. You get money from other people or accomplishments. There are shops in the worlds, and there are shops in-between battles.
Teams
Teams can be organized so that when you go into a team battle, you get automatically put on your teammate's team. You can only be in one team at a time. You can either make a team or request to join one.
Accomplishments (A's)
A's are things you get from doing certant things. Some of those things include getting first on a solo battle, or getting ___ kills. You can get money from accomplishments.
Items
Items are things you can buy. They include, armor, weopons, paint (for armor and guns) and icons (shown when you join a game)

We (as in "nobody") need an idea for a name.

hey, might I recomend Python instead of mesh? It is way harder, but you don't need to be on the same network. I can compile a scratch game, and a python client into a single .exe file that runs the project in a special player (Like presentation mode). Also, I have computers that could possibly work as a python server.
I am not a python black belt yet, but I am getting close! I have a scratch player that is based on the scratch source code, it runs projects in presentation mode when it is called upon. There is no way of seeing the scripts. The arrow that exits pres mode exits the game. Thanks to this feature, no one can cheat.
I'm in, if I get to use python.

Where can I get info about python? And it will be finished in panther, but will start in scratch. I was thinking, instead of using a server, you save your stats in a .txt file included in the exe.

Is this for the iNetMasters?

Well, no. But, it could be... Or iNetMasters could be a contributer to it...

If you are interested in using python, check out Python.org and you can find tutoirals and eBooks here. Once you figure out python's syntax and a bunch of basic functions, you can learn how to make it communicate with scratch here (or you could ignore all that and have me be the python guy
)
great idea of saving your stats in the bundled text file. That will surely reduce lag and enhance the performance of the python server!

K, you're python!
Alright! I have not completely mastered it yet, but I should be able to make a full scratch/panther server and client in a moth or a few weeks. Can I see you're graphics? Are they .gif? If they are they can be imported to scratch/panther easily, but we cannot program it in 3D. We have to use the 3D graphics as 2D sprites.

Sure! The team would LOVE to help since you have been a great contributer to the team
I'll do website graphics, and programming

Sweetness. First let's make our platformer though.

That's perfect! Just a few things though, the tree as well as other things that stick up from the ground should go to front, and the character should move!
oh and a python server/client won't be super hard to do, but let's stick with it. I'll figure it out by the time all the graphics are done.

How good you are: Nothing I can't do!
Hours: Spent scratching? Probably hundreds of thousands of billions
Mesh knowledge: Alot, but we're using python so my python knowledge is about 70%.

Yes I'm sure I want weebly. And you might be interested in my site majorrom.com. I coded it in HTML too.

If you saw my 3D movement project, I'm working on one where he goes under the tree and can't walk on walls. But it's gonna be a little bit until I finish. But anyways, I thought for object sensing, you could use the sprites on the map. Here's an example:
Your sensor's code: [blocks]
<when green flag clicked>
<forever>
<if> <color[ The right sensor ]is touching [ Wall color
<set{ Moveright? }to( 0
<end>
<end>
