on scratch, if you dig deep enough, you will probably find some history on scratch. posts made by scratchers about past decisions made on scratch on text-based games or something. but you have to look deep for that kind of stuff. my vision what the history section would include is a full history of when scratch was found, why, all those other Ws. from there, after the prehistory to scratch, it would include the evolution of the website (like i was talking about, TBM) and other events like the release of new versions of scratch. this would be open to new scratchers who want to explore the making and evolution of scratch that comes from scratch itself (not wikipedia). i would love to see people elaborating and hopefully this will work

There is some history to certain parts of Scratch on the Scratch Wiki, especially the TBG (see the article on it here). We definitely want to add more though to different parts of Scratch

Would reading this be sufficient?

it looks to be sufficient [i just looked at the table of contents. i don't have enough time now to read it]. though i think it should be added to the front page or as a link to new scratchers

Interesting idea... But is it really necessary?
i think Chrischb's link is very useful though not very open and should be more present on the scratch website.

I don't think we need a whole forum for it, though, do we? Chrischb will pretty much be happy to write on whatever you request, I believe.
