This would be good because not everyone can get there projects on the front page. I got one of my projects in the scratch design studio and it still never made the front page
Edit: Yay my first simile EVER In the forums
Edit: Edit: even though it's not smiling <-- yay my second simile

*Bump* This is a great idea.
How, exactly?

Agreed...
How would the users be chosen, though? Would the Scratch Team go around looking for them, or would users nominate themselves?

I like this idea, but I think once a week is to long, maybe once a day?
doing it once a day would be extremely challenging for the scratch community, whether it be the scratch team, moderators or even the scratchers. It would just be too much work and possibly too much of a distraction.

Maybe there could be three users per week, all displayed at once, like the featured projects, but with a separate row?

This is truly hard to think about in terms of a normal user on Scratch. I don't really think this idea would be best thing to implement since this community is focused around a low target age and the younger users here might feel like the "Featured User(s)" might of been picked unfairly. I think that the purpose of the "Curator" slot on the homepage was a alternative to "Featured User(s)" because it is fair since multiple users can be put on that list.
Great thinking, otherwise.
