Shocking, isn't it?

Mickey Mouse has Pluto, a dog, as a pet, and then there's Goofy.. but their mental capacity seems about equal..

This topic is officially useless, but I am becoming dangerously bored, so I decided to post this.

If you used to watch (or still watch) the show "Arthur" on PBS Kids, you may be shocked to know that a boy does the voice for D.W. (and has since the show started), and the voice of Arthur's dad is the same guy who plays Binky Barnes O_O

I doubt any of you know what I'm talking about.  tongue

I don't think it's officially useless, I think it's interesting.  smile

Not surprisingly, voice actors have a tendency to be used over and over again by the same company because it is cheaper to hire one actor who can do multiple voices than multiple actors doing individual voices. I used to watch Arthur when it first came out - and I've become so used to hearing certain voices that I started to recognize when voices from Arthur started appearing in other PBS shows (for example, I'm willing to bet Dongwa form the show Sagwa is played by the same voice actor who plays D.W. in Arthur).

That tidbit about Arthur's dad and Binky Barnes is pretty interesting, I never knew that. Sometimes, though, the voice acting really throws me off and I'm surprised by the high degree of vocal range a voice actor possesses (I remember how surprised I was when I found out that the voice actor for Yami Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh! also played the voice for Treecko from Pokemon). But vocal ranges like that usually speaks to the success of voice actors.  tongue

A lot of boy voices are played by women voice actors on account of the high pitch.  tongue
