Re: Ouch...

I have had small electric shocks. The one I remember most is a little divice which gives you an electric shock. Basicly people put their fingers on it and zap themselves. Its funny watching other peoples reactions. Most move their hand straight off but not me. I just keeped it on.

I've been zaped by and electric fence only because I want to see if it was really an electric fence or just a miss leading sign. Turned out to be low voltage  smile

"Electric fence do not touch" *touchs*

Today, I was at a science and technology camp. We were soldering, and I burnt my little finger with the soldering iron. Molten solder got on it. Ouch!

But to make it worse, later, the circuit board I made was attached to a pencil (The point is if you attach it to a pencil in a certain way, when you draw with it will play music). I tried drawing, and... ZAP! The little finger where my burn was got electrocuted.

It was only a small shock from a fried circuit. But it hurt.

Have you guys ever gotten electrocuted?

I remember how I could never get soldering right in Electricity class and sometimes burnt myself, but I've never been shocked other than the occasional winter doorknob.

An iron. In quilting. Two times. I got a scar, a faint one, to show the most recent, a year ago.

Re: Ouch...

I have been burned by a waffle maker (high 2nd degree) and a um, staple in a power outlet (surprisingly, low 1st degree).

I have been electrocuted by that staple, and ALMOST by two short circuited 12 volt lead acid batteries.

Re: Ouch...

I've never been electrocuted, but I've been burned. Actually, my sister and I almost started our house on fire once with a horrible tea accident.

Re: Ouch...

one time, i bought this "shocking pen" at a stationary store. i thought it was just one of those things that vibrates, and i pressed it...ow. then i read the label and it said "WARNING: Do not use on people over 70 or young children." i don't remember exactly but something like that. back then, i was a young child. ^^; my sis over reacted, and made us through the pen out.

for some reason, ever since then, i have a red dot on my middle finger.  hmm

Tea is a killer. Switch to coffee.

Re: Ouch...

I searched this down since I was helping my mom move an extension cord out from behind the fridge. Before I know it, my finger began to vibrate and I pulled away quickly. I came back in and typed on my keyboard and I get another shock XD

They're metal which is almost as conductive as water

Once, a couple of millenniums ago, when Zeus and I were fighting over who would rule Olympus, he threw 10,000 bolts at me. I survived, and burned him to death with my amazing fire pillars of destruction, but then I decided it would be too much work, so I revived Zeus and let him take over

Re: Ouch...

Twice I was trying to plug one of those things with a lousy folding plug, so I had my finger on the prongs to try to keep them from folding down. It was a bad idea. I yanked my hand away pretty quickly though, so it didn't really hurt. Just a really weird feeling.
