I copied taskmgr and renamed the copy to iexplore AND LEFT IT IN system32. Then I reset the shell in the registry.

I ran AV Defender 2011 on my computer not in a virtual machine, not sand-boxed, I just ran it. It's an aggressive rogue antivirus that REALLY blocks program access (except iexplore.exe), and sets itself as the windows shell. The shell is explorer.exe, this thing sets itself as it so it starts in even safe mode.
I dared myself to do it. And I made it out alive. xP I killed the process by renaming taskmgr to iexplore, reset the shell, and then 0wned AV Defender with a real anti-malware program.
Hahahahahahahaha
I dun geddit
And I thought my rescuing a neighbor from a backyard fire was daring.

Ooo. I'm pretty sure I've gotten that virus before. Except I used Malware Bytes and renamed it to Firefox.

I sent it.
I am not going to be held responsible if you run it on your main computer by accident.
