Post-it note things?!

I've noticed when downloading other people's projects, sometimes they have notes that look like yellow post-it notes. How do you do this? I only know how to do the notes for the description.

Re: Post-it note things?!

Right-click on the script area and then click on "add comment."

EDIT: You can attach notes to you script, or just leave it in the script area.

Yep - they're comments. Just right-click and select "Add Comment" to add a comment, and drag it on top of any block to permanently attach it.

Yes. You can also resize them by dragging the lower right corner around.  smile

No, you can extend them on the right side, but not downward.

Ah, just to note here: The comment feature seems to only be available to Scratch 1.3 and higher. Attaching comments to scripts is only available in Scratch 1.4.  smile

Re: Post-it note things?!

In an earlier version of Scratch, there were in-script comments - the wanted text was typed into a certain block, which could be placed in a script.  smile

The newer comments are nicer, but there's a problem: if you attack too many to a script, it slows the project down a LOT.  sad  It's fine to attach them, but you may want to consider leaving them on the side.  wink

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Ah, I didn't know attaching too many comments to a script will cause lag! Thanks for letting us know.  smile

Whoops, my bad. I didn't have access to Scratch when I wrote that.  hmm
