Downloas

I think you should be able to see who downloads your project. Because I dont like it when people just take my music! I bet they just want music and are to lazy to get it. So they see a project that has it and they take it. I would like to be able to know who does that.

Re: Downloas

I think you used to, but I'm not sure  hmm

Anyways, this would be a great idea. However, I question your motives: the purpose of Scratch is to share projects that people can build upon. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter who takes your music, as long as they give some form of credit.

If they used the Remixing system, you can see who remixed your problem and determine it from there.

Re: Downloas

yes but most time they dont give credit. I have some projects with 5 or 6 downloads and they dont even give credit. I dont mind people using the music but i would like to know who does it.

Just because they downloaded it doesn't mean they took your songs and put them into another project  hmm

If you find a project that didn't give credit to you, just politely ask them to and they probably will  smile

Some people download your projects because they really like it. Others download them to use something from your project. The fact that you said, you don't mind who uses stuff from your projects is wonderful because that's a philosophy of Scratch. If you share it on the website anyone has the right to use it as long as they give credit.

I actually really like this idea.  smile

Not only does it keep you aware on who is downloading your projects, but it also gives you basic statistics on what type of Scratcher's like certain projects. Nice thinking.
