You'll have to ask Lego about the NXT part. And the Scratch cat is copyrighted.

Re: scratch and NXT

Do you mean use them together?

I have NXT 2.0, and I think it should be able to be used with Scratch.

Re: scratch and NXT

Oh, right. Well scratch would have to be edited... and its not likely going to be soon, but why use scratch when it comes with its own software?

I doesn't need any hacking at all. You just need to know how to program in Java!

So you write a pogram in java to interact with scratch and the NXT program? But as i said, NXT comes with its own software (It does, iv used one at a science museum.)

I KNOW!!! I HAVE ONE!!! XD It can sometimes get clunky and I like connecting it to my computer real time.

And having it done through scratch wil make it easier?

Re: scratch and NXT

2.0 PWNES 1.0. You can do computer RC, and the new color sensor is EPIX WINZ.

Re: scratch and NXT

Blocks we would need: Move motor %motorNum %n degrees, move motor %motorNum in direction %direction for %n secs, (%sensor sensor %sensorNum), (motor %motorNum degrees)

Parentheses mean reporter blocks, and % things are not absolute.

Re: scratch and NXT

You already can...

(scratch connections.... python with scratch)

Here is how it goes.

Get nxtpython, pyusb, and libusb.

Make a program in python that connects to nxt and scratch.

Bing bing bing!

And yes it works... I've already made one...

Except I'm having troubles establishing a stable connection.

Answer: Because SCRATCH ROCKS!!! And it's much easier to use than the NXT-G program that crashes on my PC on a regular basis.
