a while ago when someone asked to be your friend it changed from saying "yes" or "no thanks" to "thanks for letting me know" and now i'm on at least one person's friends list who i would not like to be on. they are not on my friends list, though. i don't know how to take myself off the list or prevent this in the future. help, plz!

Removing yourself from another's friend list is currently not possible.

The name "friend" for the list is highly misleading, as it has nothing to do with friendship. The list is "people whose my stuff pages I want to visit" which is inherently asymmetric. There is no reason you should control whose lists you are on, but every reason for controlling your own list.
I wish the Scratch team would change the name of this feature, so people were less confused by what it was for.

Does anyone have a short name instead of "friend" that conveys the message of essentially "bookmarking" people, or favorite scratch users?

one single word would be ideal
the best we came up with "favorite scratchers" but it is too long
