OS help

Hey everyone,
Im still working hard on my PinkPanda OS, but Im trying to make it so that you can download apps to it (that were designed for this OS), that set themselves up. I have tried everything I can think of, and it has not worked. Is there a project of forums page that can help? ANYTHING?

Re: OS help

Try looking at iSyn. Or just download Scratch projects and have the user do File>Import Project in Scratch. Or design apps for it and bundle them in.

Re: OS help

Creating your OS so that apps can be installed easily can be a bit tricky, and dificult to easily explain, especially with the various designs.

I have tried looking at the iSyn, but it seems a bit confusing. Ill try again.

Re: OS help

Try looking at ANY OS. Xenotype, SynOS, iSyn, DevOS just to name a few.
Look at tags "os" or "operating system".

My point is, it's not a common thing with any straightforward answer. But to get you started, try figuring out what needs to be in every application, eg an icon, show/hide scripts, functions, etc. Then make a template, so that people can export an application as a standalone project, then import it into the OS project.  smile

Exactly. I was just trying to lay it out in simple terms.
