Yeah, DaGamez. Pokémon isn't copying. Like how all the boys in my class think Star Trek is copying Star Wars, but the other way around. Star Trek= 60's Star Wars= 80's
See how there are 20 years between? And they really gotta stop with Star Wars. They think it's real. But it's not.

Star Wars is awesome
It doesn't copy anything.
Okay, other than the space theme, they're not that similar. They are about different things, for the most part.

Pokemon rocks. But it's a little expensive. I had to scrounge birthday presents and I was still outdated. Anyway, Star Wars is way awesome. I never heard Captain Kirk saying anything remotely like,"Luke, I am your father." Nor did I hear anyone saying,"The force is strong with this one."

Actually, Star Wars takes from a whole lotta stuff but the way it comes together is so pure win we don't care.

If you want to play Pokemon with me, Lord, Rhy and Lonwol, just join Byond and go on Pokemon Citrine
It's exactly like the game but online, free and multiplayer
Generation one Pokemon and old time graphics, but it's fun

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The card came is pointless, but the video games? Addicting. Pokemon FireRed is the only reason I still haven't sold my GBA, and I might get Pokemon Black when it comes out on the 9th! I'm also addicted to the anime.

Should you play Pokemon?
Depends on how much you like the video game genre Pokemon is, a JRPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game). If you like that style of game, then Pokemon is for you. It is the best selling JRPG to date. But yeah it really depends on whether you like JRPGs. (Really it really isn't so much Japanese or Japanese related.)

I vote yes, and I would say to get heart gold/ soul silver to start out with.

I would say yes, if you're interested. And don't bother with the console versions. Get a version for portables, like GBA or the DS. My personal favorite is Fire Red for GBA.
Omigosh. You have FireRed?!?!? It's my favorite! (Along with being the only one I have... -_-)

Just remember one thing:
Do NOT start playing Pokemon under pressure. My cousin is all interested in World of Warcraft, this famous MMORPG (massively-multiplayer-online-- forget it), and so when he came to my house (passing a few states), he wanted to do the trial on my computer (cus at this point he still didn't personally have the game, even though he had it 'before', and also playing it at a friend's house), and so I let him. He kept on saying how cool the game was, and how cool it would be if we both played it together over the internet. I played it some too and it was kinda fun, but I found that I'd rather stick to what I wanted before: Guild Wars 2. I had grown a liking, and a 'faith' to Guild Wars 1, and GW2 promised so much, and when they showed their demo, they lived up to it completely. Anyway, my cousin kept on trying to convince me, saying he could pay for the subscription, and that I could get WoW for Christmas instead of Guild Wars 2. He was being completely selfish. Oh sure, paying that monthly fee for me and stuff is good. But I don't want the game. And so him still trying to convince me, was being selfihs. This further affirmed my belief in Guild Wars 2, and he left 2 weeks later.
So basically, do not get/pay for something that you do not totally want to do. This really applies with everything though. Head my advice

No, because
1.) It´s pretty pointless
2.) You waste a lot of money
3.) You waste a lot of time
4.) It´s a pretty big copy of other games.

I say yes because Gamefreak and Nintendo spend a lot of time making the game and I really enjoy the whole monster-based RPG genre

I used to love Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was younger. You could try pokemon but don't get obsessed. I was so addicted once I didn't talk to my friends at all.

No.
If you choose yes, you will very quickly realize why I was right.
