People don't nominate projects. They love, view, and remix. The only one who kind of nominates projects is the curator. Featured projects are pretty much projects being curated by the Scratch Team. But no one calls it that.
Galleries are the same way featured projects are. The Scratch Team finds galleries with good projects, and puts them on the front page.

When I said nominate projects, I meant the forum topic where you recommend a project to be featured. Is that really not the only way? Anyways, thanks.
