Well, the universe is VAST, so there are probably lifeforms more intelligent then us by MILLIONS of years, and some that are just gripping onto the verge of civilization.
The universe is so big to the point where there are probably other habitable planets that do NOT have sentient life on it that the specific race can settle on.
While posting this, I wondered how ships could make it so far. I have multiple suggestions for this. But that's off topic.Travel at lightspeed for a few hundred thousand years...
And that's another thing- if there were so many alien races, why do they choose us to visit (and not communicate with) out of so many other planets?I'm saying no alien is visiting us, because for dominator or friendly alike, they were come in orbit around our planet and engage communication. Or, at least hail death on us and eventually annihilate our species.
But I don't really want to think about that. o.o
And about the traveling, I think that they use HyperSpace travel (Or something like that). They create a artificial warp-hole and use it to travel through the folds of space at hundreds of thousands of light years. It's like the galaxy is a peice of paper. They fold it, and fold it, and fold it, and fold it, and fold it, and fold it. To the point where the universe is MUCH smaller, and can be traveled easily.
And three reasons why were probasbly not visited:
1) We might be in an unhabited part of the galaxy.
2) Maybe the sentient lifeforms want us to enter the stars without knowledge of other life. Maybe they don't want to uplift us, because we'd probably ask that after weeks of silence and shock of their powerful precense. They could be watching us with some powerful type of technology in a close-by solar system like Alpha Centauri RIGHT NOW.
3) If the universe is ever-growing, maybe were the first ones to gain intelligence in this galaxy. Who knows? This question wll remain unawnsered for a long time, due to the fact only our own robots have touched the CLOSEST planet to us.
And what still makes me chuckle to this day is that we call our planet "Earth", our solar system "The Solar System", our moon "The Moon", and our sun "The Sun." It's actually VERY stupid.
I'm guessing when we have to name other solar systems and introduce ours, we'lll call our planet "Terran", and moon "Luna", and our sun/solar system "Sol". Much better eh? But then the other lifeforms will simplify it to our homeworld being Sol III, our moon Sol III-1, and of course our solar system Sol. If we meet aliens in my lifetime, and they call it by their real nams, I'll give em' a pat on their back/whatever it is.
I still don't see why you think they'd be more advanced than us and watching us.

Do we know? We haven't taken a close look at the rest of this galaxy, remember... cause' really our insanely slow robots haven't quite made it out of our solar system.
Well, maybe... but not that far out of it, I know that.Because, if it was any closer to the center of the galaxy than a certain amount, then it couldn't sustain life because of all the deadly radiation. And if we were any further out than a certain amount, then it would be too cold.
Who knows? Maybe this alien is meant for freezing tempatures, or maybe a race that bathes in radiation and magma. There may be aliens that live in gas giants, or silicon-based lifeforms that live on a complete crystilline worlds.
That reminds me- did you know people used to think radiation was good for you? It's true! They even created a highly radioactive drink called Radithor, which killed a bunch of people that were taking it by prescription

I think he's saying that the universe is so incredibly vast that if there are aliens there must be at least some aliens that are more advanced than us.

So every animal ever has been around forever then? Including humans?
Also, as I said before, aliens exist, just not near Earth.Don't pull a Straw Man Fallacy on me- I didn't say that they were around forever. I did, however, say that if the Big Bang Theory was true (and as rare as some scientists make it out to be), then it wouldn't happen that often, and most races would die out before they could be discovered by another race/before another race has been created.
The Big Bang Theory states it only happened once and was the creation of the (known) universe.
What I'm talking about is your view on evolution. Where did we come from if we didn't evolve? Where did animals with direct relation to others come from?
God.

Yes, yes I have.

That was most likely a stealth plane.
Yes. It was probably an F117 Nighthawk. http://media.motortopia.com/files/6078/ … ghter1.jpg
It looked NOTHING like that. It was just a plane V. I will poorly draw what it looked like. And do stealth planes hover in one place then vanish entirely?
Other people reported the same type of sighting, just south of where I live.

Was it day or night when you saw that?

Oh yes, you already said it was night, didn't you. Okay then.

Well, if it was night, then you would have only seen the lights.
