If you searched Wikis and stuff hard enough, you would find that GLaDOS has actually prepared some cake!

I think that this is explained in the end of portal, as PW132 has said.

I heard somewhere that the cake GlaDOS presents is a Black Forest Cake. Has anyone ever beaten Portal and shown that the cake is indeed not a lie as the game's victims claims?

Am I the only one who thinks the answer to this is fairly obvious...?
Well yes, a cake actually appears in the credits (or before them?).

Of the answer is yes.
Sorry, I meant, "has anyone here on Scratch ever beaten Portal..." when I was typing the post, for confirmation about the cake itself being a Black Forest cake [posts on internet don't come out right! >.<]. I just YouTube'ed the thing and saw it, and yes, the cake isn't really a lie.
[And now for some behind the scenes for those who want to see the cake]
Then again, it looks like objects go right through the cake. Maybe the cake is a hologram, and a lie after all.

What I heard is that the cake is there, but there is no way out of the cake room, which would kill you.

talking about cake, it's possible to BEAT portal without killing GLaDOS. But you need to have a few cheats handy. You need to go find the trail the flying cam does when you beat the game, then approach the cake.
Also, i even found out how to SAVE THE CUBE!
On the companion cube level, go into "Chells room" and pick up the cameras, you have to place them in a wierd posistion, (Check youtube for more) then incinrate a storage cube instead.

Me. xD It does indeed show the cake at the end.

It is a level in the game Portal which involves using a companion cube (a cuter version of the normal storage cube) throughout the whole level, and "euthanizing" it at the end. It is famous in the internet for its great quotes and story. xD

At the end of portal, GLaDOS puts out the candle of a cake, so your telling the truth, even though people still use the phrase, "the cake is a lie"

i found where "the cake is a lie" is from.
WikiQuote wrote:

One of these was:
The cake is a lie

You know I find it quite funny how some people use wikis and whatnot to get their information on Portal when it can be easily accessed by playing the game, so instead of quoting wikis, you could just say:
There are these slightly hidden rooms in some of the levels with graffiti of the cube and cube related poems as well as repeated "The cake is a lie" scribbled on the walls.
To be honest using out-of-game references to things definitely in the game makes you look like a Valve fanboy that hasn't actually bought any of the games :I

I don't know what this thread is talking about, to be quite honest
