WEBSITE: Subscribing to a thread.

On the show and tell stuff theirs loads of stuff that I mean to keep up with but always end up loosing track because of  all the new posts and limited time to browse threw them. Things like keeping up on Illusionist's Space War 5 development diary.

Could you devise away to subscribe to various threads. Once done, when ever that thread is updated you get a message so that you can keep a track of it?

Is there already a way to do this?

~Thanks

I want this too.

I saw a message on another thread saying that this feature used to exist and was disabled because of server load.  Could we find a way to reduce the load?  E.g.:

* You can only subscribe to three threads.

* No more than one notification per day.

* Really popular threads that always change daily are excluded.

* Etc.

We actually used to have this, as bharvey pointed out. You could subscribe to threads and they would be sent to your email every time there was a new reply.

It might reduce the server load if you could get it put directly into your notifications - and I'm sure the suggestions that bharvey made would reduce the server load, too. I'd love to have this feature back.

I thought Email Digests... Aren't they the same thing? Or not?  hmm

Great ideas, anyway. I support!  big_smile
