I'll be using "Scratch.mit.edu" as an example. You'd change the Scratch URL to whatever it is you're linking to, though
To make a normal link, like http://scratch.mit.edu/, you do
[url]scratch.mit.edu[/url]
To make a link like This, you do
[url=http://scratch.mit.edu]This[/url]
but you'd replace "This" with the text you want displayed, and http://scratch.mit.edu with where you're linking to.
To make an image link to something, like you do
[url=http://scratch.mit.edu/][img]http://i37.tinypic.com/124bj0w.jpg[/img][/url]
but as usual, you replace the image's url with your image's url, and the link's url with your links url.
