I know this is the wrong topic for this category, but I don't know where it'd go anyways. Someone please move it. Here's the topic. I have seen several coloring contests, and in almost every single one, prizes are love-its and favorites. Now, I've got a problem with that. My problem is that the winners aren't earning the love-its and favorites. The clicking of love-it means nothing if you won it in a contest. The clicker probably hates the project. But it was promised to you. So prizes should be something like sound and sprites and scripts, something useful and meaningful. I don't really know why I talked about that, but I was fed up.

I agree, far too many stupid projects are getting love its and making it on the front page.

I'm also concerned about this... because I have a coloring contest. I don't really want to give out love-its and favorites. So what should the prizes be? If I put up sound, sprites, and scripts--anyone can see/hear and use them. They might as well not be part of the contest.

Make the prize be the glory.

People would feel cheated.
How about dedicating a game, story, or animation to them? For instance, if you won one of my contests, I would make an animation where all the walls just HAPPENED to be covered in pro-lasc12 posters.

Good idea. I think as long as it's something meaningful, it's good. Dedicating sounds good!

Problem resolved.
