Ohai
title says all If you can see this you are either very nosy, or quoted. You lost the game
Two questions:
1. What is your country's martial art? (I'm pretty sure most countries have one)
2. Does anyone know of any good videos showing Pencak Silat and Tang Soo Do?
Btw I take Shodokan Karate, and learn Capoeira moves off of yt.

I live in Japan, lol xD
My sister does Aikido... I used to do a bit of Karate, not anymore.
1. Aikido!
2. No, sorry. I don't know what you're talking about, but I'l assuming that they're both forms of martial art.

I know a librarian who is a purple belt in aikido. He has been taking it for 14 years. He should be a black belt right now but his sensei is from the East. I think a lot of Eastern cultures put less emphasis on belts rank, even to the point of disliking them, while Western cultures enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. But he knows all of these knife disarms, pressure points, joint locks, and healing points. He even knows how to disrupt people's chi flow o.O (he did it on me, it seriously works). And yea Tang Soo Do and Pencak Silat are both martial arts

Wow.
My fourth Grade teacher was an FBI operative... Something to do with terrorists. When we were really annoying him, he'd grab our wrists, and slowly apply pressure. He would stop pretty quickly, but that hurt. A lot. 0_o

That sounds like fun xDMy karate teaches the FBI on Fridays xD He's a 2nd degree black belt in karate, and a blue belt in ju jitsu. It take two years to get blue belt in ju jitsu. Also, he's going to be one of the only three level 3 instructors in American Top Team.

I've never done anything martial arts related, so I don't know much about. So I have a couple questions:
How many different color belts are there?
And what's the difference between taekwondo and karate?
Offline
1. Not sure what mine is, cuz I live in Antarctica, so...
2. Not really, sorry
I used to take Taekwondo and got up to orange belt, 7 stripes (Almost a yellow belt
) It got too expensive and I had to quit

The belts vary in each martial art. For example, in ju jitsu it takes 2 years to get a blue belt, but in karate it only takes a year and 3 months. Tae kwon do is Korean and Karate is Japanese. Each martial art's style is different.
@Aidan: Cool
Know any good videos of Tang soo do?

1. I'm Israeli so Krav Maga.
2. No.
In my synagogue, there are some kids who try to beat other kids up, so once they attacked me, got me lying down on the floor. I kicked one guy in the crotch, put my foot on his chin and pushed him into his friends. It was fun.
