Most people assume he's male since he/she/it doesn't have female characteristics, but he doesn't have an official gender.

I, personally, have always considered both Gobo and the Scratch Cat (Bruce  tongue ) to be boys, and oficially finding out otherwise would be quite upsetting  sad
