Ubuntu tips 'n tricks

1. Make the "Create Document" menu show templates
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Save a file (I recommend a blank one) into /home/<your-username>/Templates and the file's name will appear in the menu. Clicking on it will make a new file on your desktop.

2. Have icons in almost all of the menus
----------------------------------------------------
Press Alt-F2, type in "gconf-editor", and press "enter". Navigate to /desktop/gnome/interface in the left pane. Scroll down in the right pane until you see "menus_have_icons". Check the checkbox.

3. Icons on most buttons that are missing them
----------------------------------------------------------------
Do the same thing as #3 put look for "buttons_have_icons" instead.

If you have a tip or trick for Ubuntu tell me and I'll put it here.
