So this is why you guys are mods now... no one told me about it.

Would I be a good candidate or was I close?

You would have had to have applied on another topic that was posted about it, so I don't think you were considered unless you posted on that topic. Sorry  sad

Lol I came back after the elections anyway so I apparently had no idea about it. Well, next time I'll be in it to win it.

I'll also try too. It's great knowing everyone has a chance to help the community in such a wonderful way.

On a second note, I was wondering why cheddargirl's position was changed to community moderator? She has been such a great help for all of the time she has been on scratch.

I think it was changed because "Forum Moderators" are going to get more power on the main site, not just the forums - so we would be moderating not just the forums, but the community as a whole  big_smile

Re: Scratch community moderator candidates

No, it was changed, because this version of the forum can only have one rank for mods, so they had to give the other mods the same rank, which came with the title.
Version 1.4 of FluxBB can have more than 2 though

Oh boy, we'll see how this goes again when the time comes. I remember the organized chaos that went on last time. I know I'm going to be running again though.

lol  You know, I don't think we're necessarily gonna get replaced. Look here:

Moderators have a limited term length of 4 months, after which the moderator and the Scratch Team will decide if they should continue for another term (without needing to run for re-election), or take a break.

It's kinda vague, but meh. xP

That is true, so I guess we shouldn't all be assuming there's another election.

There still might be - if some of us want a break (because of school, less free time, etc)... And Lanie resigned, so the Scratch Team might want to bring a new moderator in her place - there's still a chance  smile

Or, we might stay, and more people will come - a sort of "the more the merrier" approach  tongue

I don't really know what'll happen... your guess is as good as mine ;D

Re: Scratch community moderator candidates

I feel stupid asking this, but are you allowed to run if you have something on another part of the website? Like an admin on the wiki or a mod on the TBG?

I'd say so. Although you've already had your share of modding...  tongue

I wouldn't doubt it... I don't think that really makes much of a difference. Hey, maybe that will have proven yourself worthy of moderation, anyways! Good for your portfolio  wink

@Lucario: Yay!
@I-code: Yeah... I was worried about that too. ^^
@coolstuff: I never thought of that!  yikes  Yayyy!

If I run it'll be several terms later though - I don't think I'm good enough, so I'll practice.  big_smile

Oh, I'm sure you're good enough. I'd vote for you  smile  it takes a month or so to learn the ropes, and you don't need to worry about being a bad moderator then because everyone's bad at that stage  smile
