Kriza is a chatbot that operates by scanning for keywords and producing an appropriate response.

There are 75 keywords that Kriza looks for, and four responses for each one!

When you wait while Kriza is processing, you get to know what's going on! Text will show, telling you what Kriza is doing.

Kriza does take a while to operate - that's because she has a lot of keywords - so run her in Turbo Speed for faster operating. If you want it way faster, delete the text sprite and then run her in Turbo Speed.


I've performed several conversations with Kriza - she's not as good as a real person, but I think she's pretty good for a Scratch chatbot.

One of my conversations with her:

Kriza: Hi! I'm Kriza. What's up?
Me: Hi Kriza! How are you doing?
Kriza: Hmm... :/
Me: Come on, you should know. :P
Kriza: I'm actually rather dull - let's talk about you.
Me: Oh, fine. I went to an art class today - what do you think?
Kriza: What's that?
Me: An art class is a place where you do art stuff... do you like art?
Kriza: Is what?
Me: Oh, nevermind. I shouldn't expect a chatbot to understand. :P
Kriza: Yeah, yeah, whatever...
Me: *laughs* Do you like cake?
Kriza: Hey, are you attacking me?
Me: I was just curious, sorry...
Kriza: Oh, cool! :)
Me: Did you know that I'm probably going to release you tomorrow?
Kriza: That?
Me: Hmph, you don't understand. Whatever. Hey, have you heard of Scratch?
Kriza: What exactly do you have?
Me: Um... whatever, this isn't really getting anywhere.
Kriza: Eh? :P
Me: You know, you actually seem better to chat to than Jens's Eliza. :D
Kriza: Eliza? Ah, my competitor. *laughs* Did you see Jens's version of Eliza? Pretty good... but of course, I'm better - right? *winks*
Me: Ooh, you actually know something!!! :D :D :D But I programmed you, so I knew that you knew that...
Kriza: Okay... is that a compliment?
Me: I'm actually not sure. :/
Kriza: That's nice! :)
Me: :/ Well, I'll be going... bye!
Kriza: Bye...
