I'm not sure if that's a coin; I think it's a kind of charm.
It looks like it says "zhao cai jin bao" (招財進寶), which I think means "wealth and fortune". So, my guess, it's a charm to attract wealth and fortune.

I did. Most of the coins are from my grandparents before they died, meaning I inherited from all of them. My parents don´t really like coins, and I did.

Reread your sentence. You must have meant "most from", not "most of", then.
