This has been suggested several times. So I'm bringing it up with my idea.
My suggestion wrote:
Scratch's main color is orange. But the forums are blue. Sometimes blue means sad. Why not recolor them to orange or a dark orange? Maybe add it as a separate theme?

They might as well just stop forcing default style, and let people choose the theme they like then

Nah, it's fine as it is. Having different themes might confuse people when people are showing images of the Scratch Forums. I think you're over-reacting to the colors. Orange and Blue are essentially the Scratch colors, IMO.

You'd have to be really stupid to get confused about that.
Still, blue doesn't mean sad. For instance, this blue means sharp, modern, and pleasant c:

As for the first part, I'm talking about new members - and tutorials. What if they see a tutorial showing the forums, but then when they go to the forums, it's something completely different?

You don't understand how that works
The default style will still be cool blue. By the time they figure out how to change styles, they wouldn't get confused

We should just have choices for different colors atleast.

Nevertheless it's one of the lowest priority, because it doesn't actually help the Scratch community or the program in any beneficial way. It only "makes ihaveamac happy".
Plus, it wouldn't match with the blue bar at the top, and the imagine program share motto, and the blue links, and more

It doesn't just "make me happy". It can make others happy.

I like this idea. Blue for default, themes could be from all colors of the rainbow.

So?
Well, populism isn't the best thing to go for. When suggesting an idea, or even considering one you should always think in the shoes of others. Because even if you see it one way, someone else might see it as another way. So please respect others thought.
As for this idea, I actually agree with it in a variation. If the scratch forums default theme was the one that we curently have implememnted and then somehow in a user control panel we can change it to another theme or even make your own theme that would be great! And, if this were to be considered we shouldn't stop there. Maybe we can even somehow customize the way that the main scratch wevsite looks.

That isn't really neccessarily true. New users of scratch may confuse it with diferent websites if they see tutorials with pictures of a forum with a diferent theme. Especially since the target age of scratch is young, it may be more understandable if any confusion were to occur. If that was in the way of the verge of changing the theme on scratch, the scratch team could simpily make it so they would be able to change there theme in a certain amount of active days on the forums, simular to signatures.
I like the idea overall, but it still has it's advantages and disadvantages.

We should have atleast some more colors for people who don't like the blue.

I think orange forums would be too bright for people...

Same!

As above... I think that orange would be way too flashy, bright, and possibly annoying. Blue is calm and relaxing, and I like it.
Though having a color change option would be bad...
EDIT: I MEANT "WOULDN'T, NOT "WOULD"!!!

coolstuff said that the forum insides have been messed around with so much that it would be really hard...

A way to change the color scheme would be nice, but if it's really going to be too difficult like Chrischb says, then it'd be kind of pointless to go to the work.
Although, the current forun layout does look a lot like the default PunBB "oxygen" style, so some kind of themes menu might make it stand out more. It isn't really necessary, though.

Care to explain how?
You can stick t cool blue, while someone else can stick to red or platinum or xbox
It wouldn't even be that hard to put in. They just uncheck a box
