Basically what the title says. I want a song to play when I press a button in my game, and I have an MP3 of said song that plays perfectly in Windows Media Player. So I import it, and I hear weird glitch stuff. What is going on?

Please upload the project so we can hear it. Then put the song somewhere that we can download it seperately from the project.

I already said, it's an MP3. And I'd prefer I don't upload til I'm finished, but the song is Can You Feel the Sunshine, downloaded from http://www.soahcity.com/musicfiles/1997_sonic_r/index.php

Did you try to compress the project?
If you did then that might of been it since .MP3 files are already compressed and they shouldn't be compressed again, unless you don't mind bad sound quality.
If not, then it probably has to due with scratch not being able to accept sound correctly. A fix in that case might mean waiting until the next version of scratch.
You can always try using the "Contact Us" button on the bottom of the scratch website reporting that issue, if it continues to occur.

That's a known issue. Try to change it into a .wav format before importing.

A .wav file will do fine as long as you can switch the old file that you used in the first place.
