You're free to use the TBGs if you'd like, but the main website is allowed to be the home of whatever RPGs there may be. And since they use a lot of Scratch projects, incorporating a variety of different media, then it isn't really a Text-Based Game, then, is it? You can do a lot with Scratch projects that you can't do with forums.

I guess...
I still sorta remember a few years ago (when I joined) galleries had more Non-RPG stuff. It seems like RPG's are taking over Scratch. I mean, a few RPG gallieries are fine, but it it is kinda getting a bit crazy. Although I guess I was the owner of the 2nd biggest gallerry

That was the good days...
I think the Scratch Team is fine with whatever chat-like, or RPG-like stuff that shows up on the main website, so long as it's not inappropriate.
And I actually think RPGs have been ever-present on Scratch - I remember when I first joined, and wondered what the heck they were.
