Pendragon game
I have decided to make a game about one of my favorite books; Pendragon. This game will be The Merchant of Death, but I hope to have 10 game for all 10 books. The Merchant of Death about this 14 year-old kid, named Bobby Pendragon, who travels to a place called Denduron, to help the Milgo (some slaves). I could tell you A LOT about this book, but then you would have no point in reading it.
Here's where you come in, I will need some help for making this game. First and most important, I need sprites. I don’t think anyone has made some Bobby sprites, so I need some. I will also need some sounds. Some people who have read Pendragon will be help helpful to pick out what’s important in the story and chose what you have to do in each level. I will need some help programming also.
This game will also have little cutscenes, so I need some art for that. If you help you will be in the credits.
Tell me what you think of the idea and if you want to help. I hope this game will have lots of levels and cutscenes, along with a few bosses. I suggest you read the book. This game WILL have spoiler

SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE MERCHANT OF DEATH ARE DOWN THERE!
I'm going to start with cutscene 1 (of course) which will start with Bobby kissing Courtney. Then Uncle Press comes and drives Bobby down to the subway. SD will shoot at them and then off on the flume. On Denduron they'll get the sled and the first level will start

I can try to draw stuff but i don't know if i'm good at it or not. You should make one of the levels trying to save Uncle Press

Awesome! You can try to make some Bobby sprites, hopefully you are good at it. One of the levels should be trying to save Uncle Print... I mean Uncle Press (sorry, i just had to say that, it's an inside joke). And a cut scene is a little animation in between levels. I wasn't 100% sure that this went here, so if you think someone should move it that's fine. Don't we have to ask a mod to move it?

Cool idea, I liked that series too.
What styles will the levels be like, as in do they involve you getting somewhere or completing certain tasks? (A sledding level would be great for the mountain part)

I really hope you join, your awesome! Anyways, I haven't decided yet. I was think about a platformer or a mixed thing. I don't want it to be an RPG game where you walk around Milgo village. What do you think it should be?

idea for a cutscene: Bobby blacking out after he hits the ground when the sled goes out of controll (if you do the sled thing you should probably keep the part where the quigs eat.... another quig)
sorry i haven't started on any sprites yet.... school summer work

I should include most of the things in the book. Don't feel bad about not making any sprites, as you can see by the progress log I haven't started anything (Partly because of school too).

I looooooooooove Pendragon Oh, I read all 10 books already. Eventually Second Earth is all messed up by this guy named Alexander Naymeer who claims to be another Traveler, and there are dados on Third Earth. There's also a group that SD started called Ravinia where they throw "lowly" people into the flumes where they get sent to Eelong (the flume is fixed and the Council repealed Edict 46)... oh whatever. I don't want to give it all away, and this isn't a Misc. topic either. And there's also this thing called Solara, the center of Halla...
I'll provide some sound effects and help with the scripting, if you want to. I totally want to be in this. I'll make backgrounds, and I'll make a sprite for Spader maybe? And I can make a Ravinian flag if you want.

This topic is almost a year old to the day and I'm currently not working the game. Right now is a horrible time for me to start making it again. Thanks for trying to help. I'll let you know if I resume the production.

Oh. It's been a while since I'm on Scratch...
It was only 1 page long, so I thought it was pretty new (I found this topic by using the Scratch website's search tool, not by digging in the forums). But when I looked at the date, it says "8-26-2010," so I'm sorry that I bumped up such an old topic.
