I never skipped a grade (I should have but the school didn't allow it for anyone). I sort of think if you skip a grade as high as 7th you're missing quite a lot (unless you learned it all at home for fun  hmm )

Actually, I was in a really advanced school in 6th, so then in 7th they taught pretty much what I learned in 6th.

Re: YES! So happy! :D :D :D :D :D :D

I was offered to skip Grade 5 but I decided not to do it. Skipping grades is just a scam by school systems to get rich parents to think their children are smarter so they'll donate to the school more. And if this is countered by 'Lolz my parents aren't rich' or something like that, they probably are richer than you think.

There's not that much of a difference between Grade 2 and 3 or Grade 7 and 8.

Um, no. They are pretty rich, I guess. And "Donate"? My parents never donated. They only went to my school a couple of times, and never donated. There´s no point, and no donations thing in my old school. It was very expensive anyways.

My parents hated even paying for the school, they asked me to change school many times. I changed at the end of the year.

So this new school let you move up a grade while you're a new student there? Or what?

SO am I! I got my reading report. This is what it said:

100: 1st Grade
1300: College

Just wondering, why does everybody really want to skip a grade? I think it would kinda ruin your social life, no offense or anything intended.

Because it'd be good academically, I guess. Graduating earlier, going to college earlier, stuff like that.

I read 500-1000 pages a day. More specifically, 2 Percy Jackson books a day, then some other books that are 500-1000 pages a day, like The Short Novels of Charles Dickens. I liked Oliver Twist.

Does not. Especially not if you read Percy Jackson books. Terrible reads.

In most cases, it doesn't affect anything except that they finish school earlier.
