To the Scratch Team: Looking at a full forum topic

Sometimes I want to go through forum topics that I missed when they started and that now have 38 (!) pages (e.g. http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=369994).

Would it be possible to add to the forums the possibility to see a whole topic without having to click and save 38 times?

Thanks for your attention

Re: To the Scratch Team: Looking at a full forum topic

If they somehow removed the 75 topics per page limit. I think that's how it is in all forums because any more would be too much to handle (everyone actually lags when someone searches I heard)

Re: To the Scratch Team: Looking at a full forum topic

He means in a topic, not looking at all the threads. Anyway, I'd like this option. However, I think there's a Firefox add-on that does this if you use it. Can't remember the name though.

I tried several keywords on google (forum, topic, look, full) but I couldn't come up with the correct search string. Do you have some keywords to suggest?

They could condense it all into one page... but then there would be lag, load and scripting problems. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

Error:Signature could not load. Please wait for an indefinite amount of time, until you realize you're gullible and go off to look for another potentially interesting signature to stare at.

Interesting idea!

Maybe an alternative would be to visit the forums more often  wink

Wait, what? Scratch forums doesn't have sub-forums, so topics and threads are referred to as the same thing here.

No, I meant while you were viewing one single thread as opposed to viewing a list of threads in a forum.

I found it! It's called AutoPager, and you can find it here.

Edit: I tried it, and it works nearly perfectly!  big_smile  Just scroll past the quick reply box at the bottom of a page, and the next page is there.

Yes I understand that part, but what do you mean? You view all of the topics in a single topic?

No. You know how threads get divided into multiple pages as they get long? He wants a single, long page.

You can do that too
I have 75 replies in every topic
If you're on a slow computer, it lags, so be careful

Thanks a lot! It works really well! I usually use Chrome, and from the tutorial I understand that I could export (via clipboard) and reimport the firefox rule for the Scratch Forum site. Unfortunately the English tutorial doesn't match my Italian Autopager menus. But I can use Firefox for the Scratch website  smile
