To Big For The Site?

Today, I tryed to upload a awsome Guitar Hero scratch game, but it said it may be to big to add online. So I compressed the sound and images to a very low size. At this poin the game was not as awsome as it was before. But the loader said that the game was still to big! I shrink it some more. Now I get "A Primative Has Failed"!! This has happened mulitiple times on some of my best games. HELP!!!

P.S. the banner below Will lead you to a site where you shold be able to get the game, but it is isn't working.

I'm not exactly the person to help, but this forum topic might help.

Re: To Big For The Site?

Sorry to hear about the difficulties uploading your project.  Your project may contain too much media.  Please try re-saving your project to see what file size it is - if it is over 10MB, you will not be able to load it to the website.

I am not sure if the size or compressing would be causing this problem.  Perhaps you can upload a smaller "piece" of your project. This might indicate it is still the size that is an issue.

Also, if you are putting a lot of time into your project, remember to make backup copies periodically.  You can do this by using "save as" and giving it new names such as "project v1", "project v2", project v3". Then, if anything should happen to the most recent version, you can go back to the previous version and not lose too much work.

Hope this helps  smile

Re: To Big For The Site?

Thanks!! Do you think there is any other way to put them online? I've tried to upload it on my own website, but it was to big.

Re: To Big For The Site?

You could try to do a screen capture while your project plays in presentation mode.  This would only allow you to post a video on your site, but you might have an easier time with a video file format.

Here is another forum discussion on screen capture you might find helpful:
