Let's think through how this might work. Please make mockups that show: 1) What a customized user page might look like, and 2) The controls used to create the customized page. Post them below, and join in the discussion!

Here's my mockup: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/samurai768/1260510You could make it so that you could upload an image to put as the background. I hope you like my idea! Thanks!

My mockup is kinda the same as samurai's(sorry if I was copying) exept I added some new art. (NOTE: Some of the things need to be bigger, make them bigger if you would use them on a website)

I have mine!!! I put in a message area, and an option to change the color (you know, that orange fading thing) and the userpage's background (I didn't put in a background though). Oh, there's also a spot that lets you rearrange projects.
Click for the full size!
And I thought I might as well show what happens when you click Arrange Projects - little things appear on the projects that you use to drag them. They're supposed to look like arrows, but they sort of failed... again, click for full size.
Hope you like them!

I'd make one, but it's been said already. Dx
Ooh, wait! Maybe I could add a bit about sort types!

Did you use that famous javascript thing, and then screenshot it? You know, the one that lets you "hack" websites?

No... all I have to do is right-click on something I want to edit and select Inspect Element - I can change what text says. It does not alter the actual website - all it does is change the appearance. And it doesn't last - it won't stay edited when you leave the page and come back.
It did take a lot of work though!

Just something I made quickly.

Read this for the code you need to put at the beginning and end of your posts, because if I try to type it here, it just messes it up. http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/help.php#bbcode

Nice mockup Jonathanpb!
Perhaps the readers of your page can be able to also sort them by date added, most viewed, most loved, most remixed, as well as the one that you described, the custom one

Thankies!!!
Great idea! But I'm too lazy to make a mockup... oh, who cares - let's make one! (Click for full size)
That mockup was a bit pointless...

Lovely! Simple, elegant presentation and really nice all around. How about adding some more features that show how the user would control the image displayed in the background, and choose which project they want to feature?

Really nice - it breaks a lot of conventions, but has a cool look. I wouldn't worry about copying too much. In fact, the best mockups are likely to be those that many Scratchers have contributed ideas to. So please remix and add ideas!

Awesome! I hadn't thought of that UI for re-arranging. It makes a lot of sense to make them draggable, so you can set the order any way you like.

Cool - can you expand on what you mean by promoted projects? Are they the ones you want everyone to look at?
