It is the source of all spam, twitter updates, cool stories by bros and flames. I always believed it was there so we could all get to know each other, but now it's just ridiculous. A freakin' web comic was made to make fun of it. I think you all have to agree the misc forums have been going on long enough.

That was yesterday! 2 of those were my posts! Listen, if you don't like all the spam-related topics that are naturally made every day in misc., then don't go to misc.! It's that simple!

No, but it is an off-topic lounge at the moment, despite the fact that its short description supposedly says otherwise. ^^

That just means the scratch team needs to define it better. Because, in all of the days that we have had the miscellaneous forums, the scratch team never really refined that section. The current description looks as if it was actually meant to be for topics completely unrelated to scratch, and I am not sure that that is what they meant for.

So if they really meant to make it a place for topics that you are not sure where to move to, then I suggest they change the description and a scratch team member such as "Lightnin" clears it up with a sticky topic (In my opinion this is better than just closing it).

Not only will there be less spam on the forums but there will also be an after affect that makes the forums neater. The Miscellaneus forums would be known as a moving place for moderators, and so the forums would be more on topic.

"My cat died"?  What kind of forum topic is that?!  It's so random, it's AWESOME!!!!!  I'm all for KEEPING those forums going!  Yay for randomness!

I think you might have misread that a little if you think that I consider trolling and spamming cute.

Allow me to clarify: I was responding to Ace's post, stating the fact that, even though Miscellaneous might have been planned as a forum for Scratch-related yet not-so-Scratch-related topics, by the will of the community it turned out otherwise, thus becoming an off-topic lounge. So calm down and have a cookie! ^_^

...Actually, I don't think myself that it was meant to be the type of forum Ace said, because I don't believe that the Scratch Team would expect people to post Scratch-related topics in a forum titled "Misc". That would just be ridiculous. 

And, if you recall the history, Misc was created as one of the forums of the Inspiration and More section to replace the old overcrowded I&M forum, which, in its turn, was created to keep off-topic posts out of Show and Tell and All About Scratch. So, I believe it was indeed created as an off-topic section. Off-topic, but not spam, of course.

Also, trolls are not a product of Misc. They just use Misc to do their stuff. :3

Lucario621, your misunderstanding what MyRedNeptune meant. When she was talking about cute and adorable, she was referring to how "New Members" get promoted to "Scratchers". It had nothing to do about the miscellaneous forums. Besides, she's saying the forums is not like you want it to be. She didn't say it was going to stay like that. So no need to be rude.

I think you may be the one misunderstanding. She said cute and adorable when describing New Scratchers, but in here, Lucario was replying to her saying just 'xD' about all of the spam. He said Cute and Adorable like MRN said it about that one topic because that's how he felt about her laughing about this one.

And Littletonkslover, he was actually calling me the troll    I don't see why though >:])

Considering moderators handle most of the spam, I don't think laughing at it would be so much of a crime. ^_^
